Roasting peanuts yourself is easy

Peanuts are one of the most popular types of nuts and are eaten both pure and seasoned. They are perfect for a TV evening, serve as a party snack and give many dishes a savory touch. They can often be bought roasted and salted in the supermarket. It tastes really good, but at some point they can get boring. Then, at the latest, it is time to “light the oven, roast it yourself and season to your own taste”. For example, peanuts taste really sweet.

Then place the tray in the preheated oven at 180 ° C top / bottom heat to the middle shelf height and bake for 15 to 20 minutes (for shelled peanuts) or 20 to 25 minutes (for shelled peanuts). Then quickly remove the skin from unshelled peanuts.

3After roasting, season the hot peanuts as you wish. Either with sea salt, cayenne pepper, barbecue spice or for the sweet version with brown sugar and cinnamon. It is definitely important that you season the nuts immediately, as they will absorb the spices best when they are hot.
